Active ingredients of the Tranex White face mask against pigmentation spots
- Tranexamic acid:
Discovered by Japanese doctor Utako Okamoto in 1962, tranexamic acid is a synthetic amino acid derivative of lysine that was originally used to improve blood clotting. In cosmetics, it acts as a depigmenting agent by regulating the activity of melanocytes, inhibiting melanin production and thus reducing the formation of pigmentation spots. It interrupts inflammatory processes in the keratinocytes and minimises vascularisation, which is particularly beneficial for melasma. It also protects the skin from free radicals and damage caused by UV radiation. - Niacinamide (vitamin B3):
Niacinamide, obtained from plant roots and yeasts, is a water-soluble vitamin with a low molecular weight that can penetrate deep into the skin. It has a brightening effect, evens out skin tone and combats dark spots. It also has anti-ageing properties by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which reduces wrinkles and fine lines. In addition, niacinamide protects the skin as an antioxidant, moisturises, soothes redness and regulates sebum production, making it an ideal ingredient for sensitive and oily skin.

- Option 1: Apply Tranex White face mask after the fleece mask. Leave on for 6 to 8 minutes and remove.

1) Who is the Tranex White Mask made for?

2) How does tranexamic acid in a face mask work against pigmentation spots?
In dermatology/cosmetics,tranexamic acid (TXA) is primarily associated with mechanisms that attenuate "pigment signals" after UV or inflammatory stimuli (e.g. via the plasmin/plasminogen cascade and communication between keratinocytes and melanocytes). The aim: fewer "triggers" for excessive melanin formation - particularly interesting for melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

We recommend thinking of it as a cure: regularly over several weeks. Pigmentation processes are slow - realistic time frames for visible changes are often 4-12 weeks, depending on the type of spot and consistent UV protection. (This is not an "overnight" issue).
6) Is the Tranex White Mask also suitable after microneedling?

Important from our point of view: the skin is more receptive directly after needling. If you react very sensitively, test small areas first and stick to low-irritation steps on the day of treatment (and of course: strict SPF).
