Microneedling: body treatments with Dermaroller or Dermapen
Not only facial treatments, but also body treatments with microneedling are very popular due to their excellent results.
Microneedling treatmentson the body are mainly used in the following areas:
- Wrinkles
- Sagging skin
- Stretch marks / stretch marks from pregnancy
- Scars / caesarean section scars
- cellulite
Wrinkles and sagging skin
Who isn't afraid of wrinkles and sagging skin on the upper arms (angular arms), stomach, legs and buttocks? With increasing age and a decrease in subcutaneous fatty tissue, the skin loses firmness and elasticity and appears flabbier. The skin then sometimes looks like crepe paper, which is where the horrible name "crepe paper arms" comes from.
The good news is that you can do something about it. In addition to exercise and a healthy, sensible diet, regular microneedling with a dermaroller leads to incredible results. The use of suitable, sterile serums significantly supports the success of the treatment. Unfortunately, there are also many cosmetics manufacturers and retailers who advertise their products as suitable for the dermaroller. A little tip. As you are working the products into the skin, keep your hands off them if they are not sterile. This applies not only to microneedling serums for the face, but also to serums for body treatments.
For the body treatment of sagging skin and wrinkles, we recommend
As with microneedling treatments for facial skin, we recommend changing the microneedling serum from time to time in order to provide the skin with a wide range of active ingredients.
Microneedling for stretch marks and stretch marks during pregnancy
Stretch marks and stretch marks are a special type of scar. How do these special scars develop?
How do stretch marks and stretch marks develop?
Stretch marks are a special form of stretch marks that occur due to the stresses placed on the skin during pregnancy. For this reason, we will only refer to stretch marks below.
Stretch marks are visible stripes on the skin that often appear in the subcutis and initially have a reddish colour. They usually appear on the body where the skin is under a lot of stress (chest, stomach, hips, buttocks, upper arms and thighs).
Stretch marks are caused by tears in the subcutaneous tissue due to the overstretching of collagen fibres. The initially reddish shimmering stripes fade over time, but they remain visible as stripes.
In addition to pregnancy, other severe stretching of the skin can also be the cause of tears in the subcutis. In adolescents, for example, very rapid growth can lead to stretch marks. Very rapid weight gain or bodybuilding can also be the cause of tears. Hormone treatments and illnesses can also lead to stretch marks.
Microneedling of stretch marks
Microneedling intentionally injures the skin by creating hundreds if not thousands of small puncture channels with the Dermaroller or Dermapen. This irritation and deliberate injury to the skin or skin cells stimulates a self-healing process, releasing natural growth factors. Blood circulation, cell renewal and the formation of new collagen and hyaluronic acid are also stimulated. This is extremely important for the elasticity and firmness of the connective tissue.
Scientific studies have shown that so-called fibrocytes (cells of the connective tissue) migrate into the tiny stitch channels and fill them up again, and that tiny new blood vessels are formed, giving the previously pale stretch marks a natural colour again. This can result in clearly visible improvements in the appearance of the stretch marks or they can disappear completely.
However, the final result of the treatment of stretch marks is only visible after weeks or months, as several treatments are necessary and because the process of tissue renewal stimulated by the injury to the skin takes a long time.
We recommend the following microneedling serums for the treatment of stretch marks:
- Scar Cocktail (Cocktail Cicatrices & Marcas)
Microneedling treatment for scars
Needling is also a treatment method for the removal and minimisation of scars that provides very good visible results.
However, there is a lot to know about scars, as there are different types of scars and microneedling is not suitable for every scar shape.
Types of scars
There are basically three types of scars:
- Indented (atrophic) scars
- Raised (hypertrophic) scars
- Proliferating scars (cicatricial keloid)
Sunken scars occur because after the wound has been closed with a blood clot, the body produces new firm connective tissue. However, the amount of newly produced connective tissue is not sufficient to fill the wound to the original skin level. A slight dent or indentation remains, which is often perceived as unsightly and psychologically stressful.
In our opinion, hypertrophic scars and scar keloids should always be treated by an experienced dermatologist. Treating these types of scars with microneedling can even lead to a worsening of the scar appearance.

Microneedling against cellulite
Utsukusy Cosmetics specialises not only in sterile serums for facial skin, but also in sterile serums to treat skin problems on the body. This also applies to cellulite.
How does cellulite develop?
The so-called subcutaneous fatty tissue, which is supposed to protect against cold as well as the bones and organs, is embedded in the connective tissue. In the case of cellulite, however, this connective tissue is weakened and for this reason cannot embed the fat pads of the subcutaneous fatty tissue firmly enough. As a result, these small fat pads easily push through the skin and lead to the typical skin appearance, also known as orange peel skin.
As the connective tissue becomes weaker with age, cellulite appears more frequently with increasing age.
To avoid cellulite, you should exercise regularly and avoid being overweight. Eat a healthy diet and drink enough. Lymphatic drainage to remove water retention can also be helpful in the short term.
How can microneedling help with cellulite?
As described above, there are three measures that should be taken to combat cellulite:
- Drainage of accumulated fluids
- Fight against the fat pads
- Strengthening and tightening the connective tissue
Utsukusy Cosmetics has developed special sterile microneedling serums for all three measures.
The treatment should always begin with a drainage phase before the lypolytic phase, which is followed by the firming phase to tighten and strengthen the connective tissue.
Microneedling serums that we recommend for treating cellulite
- Sterile Ruscus Body Serum for drainage
- Caffeine Body Serum for the Lypolytic Treatment
- L-Carnithine Body Serum for the Lypolytic Treatment
- Silicon Body Serum tightens and strengthens the connective tissue
